Do I need a guide to visit Yellowstone in winter?
In winter, Yellowstone's roads from the West Entrance are closed to private vehicles, so the park interior is visited by guided snowcoach or guided snowmobile tour with licensed operators out of West Yellowstone. For questions about Island Park Expeditions tours, email frontdesk@islandparkexpeditions.com or call 208-589-9842.
Where can I snowmobile?
Island Park has hundreds of miles of groomed trails. The Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation offers trail maps and grooming status updates at idaho.evtrails.com. Island Park Expeditions does not rent snowmobiles — local outfitters in Island Park offer rentals and guided rides.
What is the cancellation policy?
Customers who cancel with at least 24 hours' notice will receive a full refund or credit. You'll also receive a full refund or credit if we need to cancel your reservation due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. To cancel or inquire about cancellation, contact us by phone. Please note, no-shows will be charged the full price.
