Your way

Use it the way
you'll actually use it.

Ownership flexes around your life. Vacation here a few weeks a year. Settle in for a season. Or make it your home base. Different paths, same cabin.

As a vacation cabin

Use it when you want โ€” weekends, holidays, summer stretches. Optional rental management can cover the weeks you're not here. Owner-use allotment applies if you enroll.

As your home base

Settle in for extended seasons or year-round. Higher monthly maintenance, no rental program participation. Subject to county zoning โ€” stick-built cabins best suited for full-time residence.

Use options and fees are preliminary. Final terms confirmed at purchase and may vary by cabin type and county regulation.

Want it to earn its keep
when you're not here?

Many owners will choose to rent their cabin to other guests during the weeks they aren't using it. We'd love to manage that for you โ€” but it's entirely optional, and the management agreement is signed separately from your cabin purchase.

How the rental program works

You decide how many of your unused nights to make available. We market them across our channels, handle housekeeping, manage every guest. Income from your cabin's rentals flows to you โ€” not pooled with other owners, not promised, not guaranteed.

Optional ยท always

Income from your cabin only

No pooled rental revenue

No guaranteed returns

Separate management agreement

The rental program is available on park-model cabins. Potential tax treatment of rental income varies by individual circumstance โ€” please consult your own tax advisor. The resort makes no representation regarding tax outcomes.

Frequently Asked

Good questions.

Honest Answers.

Is this an investment?

No. This is a vacation home ownership program. We donโ€™t make any projections, promises, or guarantees about returns or appreciation. If youโ€™d like the cabin to earn rental income when youโ€™re not using it, thatโ€™s offered separately and on an optional basis.

What exactly am I buying?

Youโ€™re purchasing a fully built, furnished cabin and a long-term site license that lets you keep it at the resort. Youโ€™re not buying the land underneath. The resort continues to own and operate everything around your cabin.

How much can I personally use the cabin?

Thatโ€™s up to you. Use it as an occasional vacation getaway, settle in for an extended season, or make it your home base. Two things to know: (1) if you want to participate in the optional rental management program, an owner-use allotment will apply to keep the rental calendar workable; (2) full-time residential use is subject to Fremont County zoning, which generally permits primary-residence occupancy in stick-built cabins but limits park-model occupancy. Weโ€™ll walk you through whatโ€™s possible for your situation.

What does โ€œmaintenance-freeโ€ actually mean?

A monthly maintenance reserve covers cleaning, upkeep, and the small things that add up. You donโ€™t manage contractors, schedule landscapers, or drain pipes for winter. We do.

Where will the first cabins be located?

The initial pilot is at Blue Buffalo Resort in Island Park, Idaho โ€” thirty minutes from West Yellowstone. We may expand the program to Teton Valley Resort and other properties; you can register interest in either or both on the form below.

How will I finance the purchase?

Weโ€™re partnering with third-party RV and recreational-vehicle lenders to make cabin purchases accessible. Cash purchases are welcome. We may offer limited seller financing in some scenarios, but we want most buyers to have access to traditional financing terms.

When can I actually buy?

Weโ€™re in the demand-validation and finalization stage. Weโ€™re building this list to understand who wants in, what they want, and when. Add your name and weโ€™ll keep you updated as pricing, financing, and the first allotment go live.

Why are you doing this?

Two reasons. First, more guests have asked โ€œis one of these cabins for sale?โ€ than we ever expected. Second, the right way to extend Blue Buffalo isnโ€™t to chase scale โ€” itโ€™s to bring in a small number of owners who want what we want from this place: somewhere their family lands every year, and somewhere taken care of in their absence.
